Cornersville Cemetery
Article & photos by Angela L MSSPI
Cornersville cemetery is not far from my home. I have been doing volunteer headstone photos here for the Findagrave project for over a year. Tony and I have spent several days and at least one night, investigating this cemetery. We have both had personal experiences here.
On our first trip to Cornersville I was photographing some headstones while Tony explored the cemetery. I thought I heard him ask me "what are you doing?" When I turned around he was on the far side of the cemetery, nowhere near me. You can hear this voice in one of the EVP clips posted below.
I have had the feeling of being watched, pushed and hurried while here. I have felt sadness and fear in different parts of the cemetery. I have had the chills, felt unexplainable cold spots in the heat of summer and seen movement from my periferal view on several occasions when nothing was there. I would not recommend you visit this cemetery at night. It is extremely dark and the ground is very hilly and has numerous unmarked graves and broken stones in the older sections of the cemetery. I do not think it is a safe place to visit at night.
