Tony and Angela visit this cemetery on a regular basis. It is very close to Angela's family home and is one of her favorite cemeteries to visit. She has written a poem entitled " The Ghost of Annie House" in her new book "Hauntings In My Head" ( See the Books & Materials page for details ), which was inspired by an EVP she recorded here in 2008.
Both Angela and Tony have recorded several EVP here and had personal experiences, while visiting and documenting the headstones in this small African American cemetery.
Strickland is located on Hwy 309 in Marshall County Ms, about 15 miles south of Byhalia. The cemetery sits high on a hill directly behind the Strickland Church which still holds services occasionally. The church and cemetery were established in the late 1870's. There are both old stones and new burials as recently as December 2008.
Photo by Tony B of Angela at the House headstones at Strickland. The temperature was 67degrees and it was a clear day, no wind and it was not cold but Angela had the chills so she put her jacket on.
Angela frequently takes silk flowers to the cemetery to put on the headstones where she and Tony have had EVP responses and experiences. and some EVP was recorded at this site at the time of this photo.

Angela and Tony have both had experiences of feeling watched, feeling cold spots and feelings of being touched. We will continue to post data and experiences from our visits to this cemetery as we aquire them.

Click Here to listen to Faulkner Family Reunion- I was sitting near Mrs. Faulkner's gravesite. Mrs Faulkner passed away in December 2008. At the time of this recording she had only been dead for about 2 months. Listen to what she says.
