MSSPI has a deep interest in preserving and researching lost and abandoned cemeteries and historical locations. And not just to look for cemetery ghosts. The links to the left are just a few of the cemetery research projects we have done over the past 2 or 3 years. Angela & Tony spend many hours, researching, photographing, scouting, investigating and documenting cemeteries. Think cemeteries are only creepy and active at night...Think again...98% of all the evp we have recorded or photos we have taken, and experiences we have had, has been in the daytime. Now we know what your thinking...lots of outside noise....you right, thats why recording in cemeteries is both a challenge and a learning experience. Angela and Tony make it a point to carefully review and note external sounds when recording in cemeteries and they pick the most out in the sticks, backwoods, in the middle of nowhere places they can find to visit and research. Sure there are a few in town, do we get much audio in these places? not usually. But we will let you be the judge of what we have recorded. Not every cemetery we are posting has had evp recorded or paranormal activity, but they are wonderful places full of history and charm. Well, ok, maybe not all of them are charming, but all are worth learning about.

Tony snapped this photo of Angela exploring the Old Philadelphia Cemetery in 2009, She felt like she was being watched. Does it look like it to you? Not really sure, but could be.
Tony B hanging out at the Hamilton. this is a really cool African American Cemetery that we visit frequently, Angela has recorded and documented all the readable headstones in this cemetery for the FindAGrave Memorial website which you can search below. We have also had some rather odd experiences here and Angela is currently working on the history of the cemetery for an upcoming article.
You can watch for updates by following the Headboards of Stone website that Angela hosts related to cemeteries and cemetery preservation, history and hauntings.
We have added a new icon photo to help you identify when & where we have posted EVP audio clips
Click Here To Listen When you see this link, if you would like to listen to the audio file, it will take you to our archive storage file for that clip. There is a player already there in the file. If your trip to this page does not open in a seperate window, you will have to hit the back button to return to the page you were veiwing here on our site. We apologize that this is a seperate website for hearing our files, but as of now we have not be able to get the player codes working directly on the website page. But we think it will be worth the small trip to hear the files we have recorded.
Angela is also involved with the FindAGrave.com volunteer headstone project and takes volunteer headstone photos and creates new geneology memorials on a regular basis, as a way of contributing to the preservation of the cemeteries and those buried here in Mississippi.
